I'm so happy that you stumbled across my site.
I was in eighth grade the first time I remember thinking about myself as a photographer. My mom sent me to Washington D.C. on a field trip with her Canon point and shoot camera and I came back hungry to keep snapping.
Six years later, I'm more in love with my craft than ever before.
I'm learning to translate my passion into a profession by studying multimedia journalism and photography at Troy University. I hope that one day I'll be able to use my photographs to bring justice and joy to people in need of it.
I currently reside in Alabama, but I was homegrown in sweet Tennessee with my mom and two sisters. My mom gave me my adventurous spirit and a desire to go and do, but Chattanooga gave me a home and a reason to sit and stay.
Because I'm a strong believer in the beauty of mankind and the power of communication, you can usually find me chatting with people and documenting the experience with a portrait.
I hope you're interested in what I do here. If so, shoot me an email! I'd love to chat with you about capturing your precious memories.
About Me
About Photography by Chloe Lyle
Photography by Chloe Lyle has been a work in progress for the past four years now.
In that time I've been learning, creating, and developing my style.
More than a color palette or editing technique, I desire to showcase genuine emotion through my photographs.
I credit my art now to a lot of trial and error (emphasis on the error part.) I hope this process of learning and improving follows me throughout my time as a photographer.
For the past two years, I've worked with The Tropolitan, the Troy student newspaper, photographing campus events. Photojournalism has changed the way that I create portraits by showing me that reality brings the most beauty out of an image.
Photography by Chloe Lyle is a tool to document, a collection of artwork, and a goal that is being consistently stretched.
